Acceptance by artist, Andrea Bogdan

20 x 24 x 1.5 inches, acrylic on wood. This painting by Andrea Bogdan is was featured in the “Buried Alive” show at the Cactus Gallery in Frogtown.

Description: Freud once said “How bold one gets when one is sure of being loved”. This is a painting about trying to express love and accept love, despite the gremlins and fears that may interfere. I say “trying” because there’s no obvious means by which the one receiving the flower can reach out and accept it. No arms, no hands… not even a stem. It’s a dilemma, but it’s happening anyway. It’s a bold move by them both.
