Escape From Carl Rogers

Escape From Carl Rogers – Inventory# 89 – 16×16 inch

This painting has already been SOLD.

Carl Rogers is a psychologist (1902-1987) who had a theory that we all have two identities – the one which is our “ideal” and the one that is real. He said the further apart these two are, the more bizarre our behaviors are. I got to thinking about that and decided it’s probably true, but not very useful. And for these guys in the painting it’s downright horrifying.

Carl said that Freedom of Choice is one of the top five attributes of a fully functioning person. And so is creativity. I really like him for that.
